At the completion of the subject, students should be able to:
- Explain the basic concept of moral values and the types of moral values.
- Explain and criticize the moral and ethics theories.
- Recognize moral values in Religions.
- Know the current and traditional values of Malaysian society.
- Establish the reasoning of moral issues.
- Accomplish moral conflicts.
- Practices good values as a student.

The importance of Moral Education – To have high moral standards in Malaysian society through Rukun Negara, Vision 2020, Individual Role, Responsibility and Moral Agent.

The Basic Concept of Ethics and Types of Moral Values
Normative approach – Distinguish between normative and descriptive – Basic concept of values - Types of moral values (instrumental, intrinsic, subjectivism, objectivism , relativism, absolute).

Values of Religion and Belief
Definition of religion, purpose of religion, relation of religion and morality such as in Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sikhism, and Judaism.

Values of Insanity
Forms and dimensions of situational ethics, ethical judgement and principle ethics such as ethical relativism and ethical reasoning.

Moral Values of an Individual
Contents - Comprehend the needs of regulation; Form – issues or moral dilemma, moral principle; Dimension – rasional, autonomous, emotion, methods, cases and effects physically and mentally.

Conflict Resolution
Ways to solve conflict according to the constructive conflict resolution processes – Values of analysis, hierarchy, compromise.

- Environmental pollution: water, sound, noise and air pollution, the causes and effects of global warming.
- Euthanasia and physician assisted suicide: types and categories.
- War – Justification of war.
- Terrorism – Meaning of Terrorism.
- Business Ethics - Bribes, corruption and misuse of power or status in all sectors.
- Sexuality –Free sex (cohabitation, gay marriage, homosexuality, pre marital sex etc).
- Discrimination - Gender, age, religion, race, disability and socio-economy.
- Borderless information - Ethics in IT and the rights of gaining information.
- Science and technology – Genetics (human cloning), engineering etc.
