Subject Code: BHM3076
Aim of Subject: To familiarize the students with various legal concepts; to underline the importance and enforcement of various legal rights in the research and development environment; and to introduce new problems and challenges caused by the ICT to the various legal fields.
Learning Outcome of Subject: At the completion of the subject, students should be able to :
  • Understand the concept of law.
  • Understand the basics principles related to various issues like contract law, cyber law, land law, law of tort and employment law.
  • Apply the available law to problems that may arise.
  • Understand various restrictions in applying the available laws.

Assessment Scheme:
  • Tutorial / Assignment-Group assignment,focus group discussion at tutorial,to enhance understanding of basic concepts in lecture(20%)
  • Test / Quiz-Written exam(20%)
  • Final Exam-Written exam(60%)
