Subject Registration


 
  1. You should check the following items before the new trimester begins:

  2. i) Course Bulletin (available on bulletin board)
    ii) Timetable (available on University website)
     
  3. The Exam & Record Unit will make an announcement on the subject registration date, time, and venue. Students may check the schedule from https://icems.mmu.edu.my/crSchedule/schgroup.jsp.

  4. Please check the latest notice from Exam & Record Unit in case of any changes. The notice will usually be posted on the Bulletin Board.
     
  5. You should plan the subjects that you want to take. The academic advisors are available if you need any advice on the subjects to be taken.

  7. Normal status students are allowed to take:

  8. i) In 14 lecture-week trimester:
    a) Maximum of 18 credit hours
    b) Minimum of 3 subjects

    ii) In 8 lecture-week trimester:
    a) Maximum of 9 credit hours
    b) Minimum of 1 subject
     

  9. Under probation status students who pursues a Bachelor of Engineering degree are allowed to take:

  10. i) In 14 lecture-week trimester:
    a) Maximum of 12 credit hours (Under Probation 1); 9 (Under Probation 2); 6 (Under Probation 3)
    b) Minimum of 3 subjects

    ii) In 8 lecture-week trimester:
    a) Maximum of 6 credit hours (Under Probation 1); 4 (Under Probation 2); 3 (Under Probation 3)
    b) Minimum of 1 subject

     

  11. The students who are planning not to take any subject during a trimester must apply for Leave of Absence from the Dean.

  13. Drop/Add should be done within the first two weeks of the new trimester.

  15. Withdrawal of a subject can be done within the first seven weeks of the new trimester.

  17. New students can apply for change of major within the first 4 weeks after the registration day. Existing students can apply for change of major within the first 2 weeks of every long trimester. You have to get the academic advisor recommendation before submitting the application to the Dean.
