BEng (Hons) Mechanical



The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers a four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Students enrolling in this course are required to study the traditional subjects such as Engineering Mathematics, Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Sciences, Material Science, Engineering Design, Theory of Machines and Mechanisms, Control Theory, Industrial and Systems Sciences, and so on. They are also required to study subjects from other Engineering disciples and the Arts and Humanities. In addition to these traditional subjects, the students are also required to study the non-traditional ones such as Multimedia Technology and Cyberpreneurship. Apart from classroom studies, the students are also expected to excel in the laboratories. Moreover, in their final year, they are required to engage in industrial training, to expose them to the hand-on engineering working environment.
